One of the first photography tips I give to anyone saying they want to take better pictures is to change your perspective.
This is a tip that can work for anyone photographing anything with ANY CAMERA! Whether you’re shooting with a phone or a six thousand dollar DSLR or mirrorless camera, this tip can really change things up.
But What Does Changing Perspective Mean
It’s very simple. You have to stop shooting from eye level. That’s where you, and the people who are going to view your photo, are used to seeing things from.
If you want to spice things up with your compositions, you need to get low, underneath, high up, or on top of your subjects!

While this isn’t perfect for every photo you will notice as you get more comfortable with this technique which shots it is especially suited for.

And the more you use this technique, the more you will start to naturally see the potential of photos taken from different angles.
