What are camera lens filters? Are they necessary? Are they only for particular kinds of photography?
In the latest micro-episode of the Nerdy Photographer Podcast, I give you an introduction to camera lens filters. I discuss UV and Skylight filters, polarizing filters, and neutral density (ND) filters, as well as several other types of filters.
If you do choose to start using lens filters in your photography. I cannot stress enough that you should buy QUALITY filters. Don’t go cheap. You will only end up decreasing the quality of your photos.
A great lens is no good if you’re putting a cheap piece of glass in front of it.
