Listen, if you’re a photographer shooting only stills with the Canon R5, you are not going to have any problems with overheating.
However, if you are shooting video, you might have some issues. And, I just had to have a little fun with it…
Since the launch of the Canon R5, Canon has released a firmware update, there are a number of companies that sell cooling rigs that can also alleviate issues, and there’s a DIY solution (but it will nullify your warranty).

Or you can wait for the Canon R5C to come out! That will be the cinema version of this mirrorless camera and I’m sure it will address those overheating when shooting high definition video issues.
