Maybe I am wrong, but I think a lot of photographers experience a little bit of a thrill when it comes to DIY photography projects.
Necessity is the mother of invention and sometimes the piece of gear you need for a project does not exist.
Or it does exist and you cannot afford it.
Or you just want to experience the thrill of building it with your own hands!
I LOVE DIY photography projects! I have bins full of items that I have saved over the years for various projects – my wife hates that the piles of materials keep getting bigger and bigger.
From DIY lighting hacks to lighting modifiers, ways to organize your photography gear and beyond, there are projects here that will keep you busy for hours and hours (when you probably should be editing, but I know you are just not feeling it at the moment).
Browse our DIY photography projects, and when you are finished, check out our photography tips and techniques section to give you ideas on how to use your new do-it-yourself photography gear.
What DIY photo projects do you want to see?
I am always willing to try to MacGyver a new piece of gear. Give me ideas!
Jump over to my Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter profiles and let me know what projects you want to see! Leave a comment or send a message and let me know. I will put it on the list for upcoming DIY photography articles.
